Nielsen & Ardise to perform at MusicFest 2017

Nielsen & Ardise

From the sounds of the 50s and 60s and more, Nielsen & Ardise has over 50 years of musical experience to share with you from their years on the road. A duo out of Fairfield County, CT, Billy Nielsen and Tom Ardise have performed  with some of the industry’s music legends, including Little Richard, The Duprees, Harold Melvin, Billy Vera and many more. They’ve joined together to create an engaging show that incorporates top hits from throughout the years, and stories about the music that are sure to please.

Nielsen has been singing since he was 16 years old, and was a member of the Barons at just 19 years old, which went on to become a well-known east coast band that recorded with major record producers, opened for the industry’s greatest, and recorded many commercials. Their 1963 hit, “Pledge of a Fool”, was produced by Stan Vincent a major producer at that time. The record was a great hit on the east coast, resulting in numerous tours up and down the coast.

Ardise was an original member of the Royal Kings, and not only served as the bands lead guitarist but also as manager and musical arranger, including the recording of two albums in the 1980s. He continues to perform in the Tri-State area with the popular 50s/60s group, The Baron’s, as their lead guitar player and musical arranger.

Their repertoire includes songs like Stand by Me, Bridge Over Troubled Water, At This Moment, At Last, Grapevine, Up on the Roof, People Get Ready and sounds from Hall and Oates, Van  Morrison, Eric Clapton, Smokey Robinson and Bobby Darin, to name a few.
